Upcoming CPD sessions for PSW Networks

We are pleased to announce the topics for the next series of PSW Networks CPD sessions. In choosing the focus for each session, we have been guided by your responses about which issues you would find useful to explore further. 

We have also drawn on the expertise of a range of facilitators to present the sessions, who can speak from lived experience, academic research perspectives and practice leadership roles. 

In the first session on 7 December, we will be reflecting on the importance of professional values in leadership, before moving on to hear from practice leaders actively engaged in embedding anti-racism within their organisations and in practice on 5 February. This will be followed by a session on 13 March, in which practice leaders will share how they are embedding  anti-racist supervision in their organisations.

The session on 1 May provides an opportunity to think about the 'co-production sandwich' as a starting point and think about what this means for your day-to-day work with people and families. 

The last two sessions will focus again on different aspects of practice leadership. On 10 June we will consider how practice leaders can empower and influence others when leading change initiatives. The last session on 17 September will provide an opportunity to jointly consider how to exercise the role and responsibilities of a Principal Social Worker, dealing with conflict and what it means to be an authentic leader.

As always, there will be plenty of time to engage in discussion and networking with peers during the events.
