Promoting good social work with older people and their families: Practice Tool (2024)
Introduction
In the context of constrained access to health and social care resources and growing numbers of older people with complex needs who require support, the role of social workers is increasingly important.
This resource uses insights and evidence from a recent research project focused on Social Work with Older People. It explores the skills, values and knowledge that contribute to the achievement of good outcomes for older people and their families, and includes a series of practice tools designed to support practitioners to develop and apply these values, knowledge and skills in their practice.
The University of Birmingham is seeking to understand the usefulness of this tool and have created a survey to gather feedback. Please complete the survey to support the understanding of how the tool is used.
